Proximal connection

ENPlus connection mitigates risks of misconnection with parenteral solution bags. Enteral nutrition bags are available in 500 ml, 1200 ml and 1500 ml. The screw cap connection allows a direct connection to bottles.

Lateral connection

Lateral connection of giving sets is available with the safe connection ENFit™ or with Vygon’s safe system nutrisafe2. (2)

Distal connection

 Distal connection of giving sets is available with the safe connection ENFit™ or with Vygon’s safe system nutrisafe2. (2) Giving sets are delivered with a christmas tree connector screwed on the distal connection.

Octopus 3 with Bionector is a polyurethane, transparent, supple multi-lumen extension tube for IV catheters (peripheral or central venous). Octopus 5 code 842.514 is a 5-lumen extension tube with a clamp on each lumen, 5 Bionector and 4 non-return valves. The extension tube without non-return valve (with blue clamp) allows blood sampling.

Octopus 3 with Bionector is a polyurethane, transparent, supple multi-lumen extension tube for IV catheters (peripheral or central venous).
To identify the different infusion lines, each line has a hub or a clamp of a different colour.
It allows to connect to the catheter several independant IV lines.

Code 841.364 is a triple lumen extension tube with 3 Bionector and 3 clamps (green, orange and white).

Code 842.312 is a triple lumen extension tube with 3 anti-return valves, 3 Bionector and 3 clamps (white, green, orange).

Used for central venous catheter care, Octopus 3 has the following advantages:

• Provides closed, neelde-free access during syringe bolus dose administration and I.V. tubing change
• Eliminates the need to use a 3-way tap to run 2 or more simultaneous compatible solutions
• Eliminates the risk of blood spillage
• Eliminates the risk of air embolism
• PUR material (no PVC, no DEHP – no release of softeners)

Anti-return valves avoid reflux of fluids or drugs beyond the valve during multiple infusions.
Bionector can be disinfected with most of the antiseptic solutions (example: 70% alcohol). Avoid using antiseptic containing both alcohol and oxygenated water.

Octopus is a polyurethane multi-lumen extension tube for I.V. catheters, transparent and with low priming volume.

To identify the different infusion lines, each tube has a clamp of different colour.

Octopus allows, in some cases, to avoid the use of stopcocks or ramps of stopcocks.

Autoflush connected to the proximal hubs of the Octopus is a multi-purpose, closed, disinfectable needleless access device for blood sampling, intermittent injections or continuous infusion of fluids or drugs.

When a syringe or any device featuring a male Luer or male Luer-lock end is disconnected from Autoflush, a positive bolus of 0.03 ml is injected which maintains catheter patency.

The non-return valves prevent any backtracking of fluids or drugs when different infusions are running simultaneously.

Leaderflex is a polyurethane paediatric central venous catheter inserted using the Seldinger technique. It can also be used for arterial puncture (radial, femoral…) for children or adults.

Multicath4 expert S is an antimicrobial XRO polyurethane central venous catheter introduced by Seldinger technique.
The ionic silver antimicrobial agent (Agion) is incorporated within the bulk polyurethane material to minimise the risk of catheter-related bloodstream infection risks. Silver ions are released slowly to ensure efficacy during the dwell time of the catheter.
It consists of 4 lumens completely separated on the total length of the catheter. Each lumen leads, at the distal tip of the catheter, to a distinct hole. At the proximal end, the lumens of the catheter are connected to extension tubes of different lengths. Each extension tube includes a different coloured hub and is marked “Distal”, “Medial 1”, “Medial 2”, and “Proximal” so as to identify easily the different infusion lines.
Multicath4 expert S is available in 4 lengths: 12.5cm (code 8158.072), 16cm (code 8158.172), 20cm (code 8158.272), or 30cm (code 8158.372).
It is presented in a rigid blister pack containing:

• 1 polyurethane catheter (totally radiopaque) with fixation wings and centimetric graduations from 9cm from distal tip. Smooth distal end,
• 1 safety needle (Seldisafe) 18G, 70mm, to avoid needlestick injuries,

Multicath4 expert S catheters contain photo reactive silver compounds. To protect the catheters from the light, they are delivered with a blind sheath.

Octopus for TIVA features:

– as short as possible (10 cm long) with low priming volume (0.38 ml)
– equipped with non-return valves
– colour coded clamps to prevent any risk of confusion

Octopus for TIVA can be used in the operating theatre and in the recovery room.

Octopus with Bionector TKO is a multi-purpose catheter accessory, a single lumen I.V. extension tube with needleless connector, enabling intermittent injections or continuous infusions of fluids or medications and blood sampling.

Octopus with Bionector TKO is a needleless catheter patency device that has been specifically designed to reduce thrombotic catheter occlusions and works by controlling the bi-directional flow of fluid, infusate and catheter tip blood reflux.

Octopus with Bionector TKO has a very easily disinfectable membrane (disinfection must be carried out before and after use) which closes automatically when the infusion line or the syringe is disconnected.

Two types of implantable port existing:

·         Standard implantable port with catheter to connect in silicone (codes VPE40010ECHO and VPE4008ECHO) or in polyurethane (codes VPE4017ECHO, VPE4018ECHO and VPE4019ECHO).

·         Standard implantable port with a pre-connected catheter in silicone (codes VPE41010ECHO and VPE4108ECHO) or in polyurethane (codes VPE4117ECHO, VPE4118ECHO and VPE4119ECHO).

Each Echo-guided placement kit Polysite ECHO contains:
